Primary power flow for press functions is handled by a CAT 4 two-hand anti-tie down safety relay.
This specialty relay checks complementary inputs from each cycle initiator to insure the operators
hands are out of the work area.
Top Stop Over-Run allows press to bypass top stop RAM setting in setup modes.
Pressure and Distance Reversal Mode allows operator to select between pressure or position
reversal.
All wiring is terminated to spring cage style terminals. These terminals provide reliable vibration
resistant connections. Wiring on the panel is routed through wire troughs with removable covers.
All PLC I/O points are also terminated to the terminals. Systems include multiple guard terminals
already installed. Inputs and outputs have all necessary connections (power for proximity switches
and grounds and neutrals for coils) on a single terminal, no searching for support wiring for devices.
All valve coils use DIN 43650 connections with power indicator lighting and electrical EMF surge
suppression.
A simple, removable and easily serviceable press mounted press hydraulic system powers the press
The heart of the hydraulic system features an efficient steel manifold designed to consolidate
valving, reduce plumbing, eliminate leaks, minimize pressure drop and provide maximum service
life.
Efficient Screw In Cartridge Valves (SICV) solenoid valves have extremely low leakage, low
pressure drops, low cost low current operation and simple maintenance. Piloted DIN logic elements
outperform large piloted spool valves in leakage, flow and response time. Valve shift times are 30%
of comparable piloted spool valves resulting in increased press cycle speeds.
Manifold System offers redundant safety feature which requires 3 solenoids to be energized before
there can be any movement of the RAM in extend or retract. Failure of any single component will
result in no hazardous motion of press RAM.
Electro-Hydraulic Decompression with FAST ACTING 3 stage decompression offering resistance to
damaging decompression pressure spikes that is far superior to hydraulic or mechanical
decompression used in other presses.
Air to Oil Cooling System Loop with dedicated cooling system pump and hydraulic filter
All final pressure connections use Flat Face O-Ring Hydraulic Connections to provide the most leak
resistant hydraulic system. No metal to metal pressure connections and no pipe thread are used.

SOME AVAILABLE OPTION ITEMS:
1. Banner Zero Force Opto Touch Palm Buttons with Finger Guards
2. Single Stroke Automatic Circuit menu selection allows press to be cycled
one complete cycle without holding the palm buttons. Requires guarding.
3. Air to Oil Cooling System with dedicated hydraulic cooling pump and
hydraulic filter. Recommended for dwell applications over 3 sec and high cycle
applications.
4. LCG1 Light Curtain Guarding: Full perimeter guarding. Front mounted
light curtain guarding includes emitter, detector, mounting hardware and
installation. Fixed guarding on both sides using wire mesh.
5. Programmable RAM allows position and pressure reversal pressure in
applications that do not require Dwell at Force to be set from HMI. The
stroke proximity switches are replaced with a linear transducer for ram
positional control. Operator can set, store and recall retract position, work
position, bottom stop position, and reversal pressure. Up to 250 setups
can be stored or recalled. Pressure transducer allows system pressure
readout at HMI and programmable reversal pressure.
6. Programmable Proportional Pressure Control allows pressure to be set
from HMI panel and saved with setups in applications that require Dwell
at Force (pricing if purchased with Option 5 programmable RAM position
control)
7. Programmable Priority RAM Speed Control provides high resolution
speed control of RAM during pressing portion of RAM stroke from HMI.
8.Foot Switch Control: Foot switch, keyed connector and quick connect.
Requires factory installed guarding.
9. Dwell at Force. Includes an adjustable timer and high stability relief
which allows press to remain at force once it has achieved set pressure.
The factory recommends the use of a cooler when dwelling over 2 seconds or
when running in automatic mode
